It Is A Miracle Poem by priscah Mutswenje

It Is A Miracle

Rating: 5.0

From the village to the nearby town
Runs the sparkling smooth lane at dawn
With healthy hedges swiftly gliding down
Snaking beside by a school lawn
It is a miracle by Kenya Rural Roads Authority

The leafy hedges beautifully fly about
Attracting a chirp of birds and bats far apart
Our roads now shortest, we no longer scout
Can you believe we are right in the outskirt?
It is a miracle by Kenya Rural Roads Authority

The morning sun shines on its glossy surface
Allowing siders and drivers to flow with surprise
A leveled joy and prosperity on the face
It gives fifty reasons why they should arise
It is a miracle by Kenya Rural Roads Authority

Tour wheels are safe from potholes
The heart and soul sings to these appeals
Our lives are safeguarded away from holes
The nerves relax sure of no more chills
It is a miracle by Kenya Rural Roads Authority

We thank KRRA for this prosperity
Rural roads offer us inclusivity
Cars slide with apparent spontaneity
We have caste away the spirit of negativity
Thanks KRRA for saving our pockets

Clear and appealing stand the byroads
Strong and content I travel on rural roads
Free and fair is the ferrying of loads
Rural or urban beats all odds
Thanks KRRA for saving our pockets

And now I care for the future of these roads
I will not carry too heavy loads
Drink and drive are few hazards
I shun. With speed play no cards
Thanks KRRA for saving our pockets

Moderation my way, my youth my pride
No exaggerated bumps and black spots to hide
My journey on roads broad and wide
My sister on the wheelchair safeguard
Thanks KRRA for saving our pockets
