Harmathan bears the moribund year away
The dangling stars announces the proximity of a new year
Being ushered in by the merriness of christmas
As the shrill songs of the whistling santa
Pervade the air in preparation for the newfangled year
Foes feel the pains of my survival
Happy am I
I made it through the year
The pains, the gains
The profit, the defeat
The squeaky gates, the rickety trains
All behind me
With a joyous heart and a waving hand
For a new chance, a clean slate
