It Is Finished, It Is Done Poem by Gary James Smith

It Is Finished, It Is Done

Today at 12: 49 PM

Praise the Lord for God's dear Son
Whose sacrifice at Calvary
Paid our debt sufficiently
With thorn-crowned brow, nail pierced hands
Feet fastened fast by sins demands
He took it all to yonder grave
Then rose again the lost to save

The gospel still rings strong and true
Jesus will deliver you
If you repent and turn from sin
The Holy Spirit enters in
Giving truthful verification
Of receiving God's salvation
Seek God's kingdom and righteousness
You will then be truly blessed

Know forgiveness by being forgiven
Forgiveness becomes a way of living
Leave off resentment, anger, pride
Let the peace of God abide
Joy will rule your heart at length
It will become a steadfast strength
Life will take up worthwhile living
If you by God have been forgiven.

What a gospel we have to release
That brings man to his greatest peace
To be at one with His Maker
Before he meets the undertaker
Our foremost mission at any cost
To try to seek and save the lost
Lord place that burden on each soul
That has by Jesus been made whole.
