It Is Now All I Have

Perhaps I should call more often
To know about you

I sometimes wonder if it's the right thing to do

But it's now all I have; a distant vocal of your success

And when the call is closed, I have very little
Perhaps no more than before
Just words recast in different words

But it is all I need, the fact that I have spoken your name
Is now all I have

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
