It Is Raining Again Today
We needed the rain
to soak the garden,
and now it is raining.
For weeks this summer
we had over 100 degrees every day.
Grass browned, plants died.
We needed rain to save us.
Yesterday the Governor
declared disaster,
due to flash flooding.
It is raining again today.
