It Just Ran It's Course Poem by Michele Hegarty

It Just Ran It's Course

It started as a bubble, the source of a fountain
Cascaded and sparkled in joyful directions,
Then floundered on boulders and the flotsam of life,
and the streams sadly separated
The singular rivulets continue with soft forward flow,
the future course is uncharted and fruition unknown.
After this bend the way may become clear,
side streams now welcome to add to the depth
