It Might Be You Poem by Jeunese Rona

It Might Be You

Rating: 5.0

I thought it might be you
Who'd erase all my pain....
But instead of clearing my mind,
You've driven me insane.

I thought it might be you
Who'd dry up all my tears...
But instead you've brought me sorrow
That'll last through the years.

I thought it might be you
Who'd warm up my heart...
But instead of mending it,
You've torn it all apart.

And I thought it might be you
Who'd forever dream with me...
But instead you snapped me back
To this harsh reality.

I say that this is your best work so far. Great flow, to the point... I loved the way the words rolled off my tongue as I read your poem out loud. Sad to say, but sometimes, the one we love is the one who lets us down the most. Hang in there.
