The rain fell today, for once..
It drizzled, trinkled at first, hence
The clouds bore heavily, heaving
...and the torrent waters poured
The rain poured today,
It drizzled, trinkled at first...
The ground took all of it in
As quick and anxious as sin
It quenched it's thirst and hunger
..and gone were the pains and pangs
You see in this land, it rarely rains
Despite the vast greenwood so fertile
but then again the rain comes at times
...and after the clean washed land shines
The rain poured today,
It drizzled, trinkled at first...
Funny, dont you think..not a trace
The land finally back to its grace
Not a dropp of water in sight
...and now shines the sunlight
