But I lost it
it's inside the mattress,
unseen
it sneaks out,
and spies
under my body weight
it spies
on the way I carry,
my own lies
the dirty sheet,
it makes it's nest,
ruined
every time, bed re-made
pillows plumped,
fresh like
smooth shaved legs
it regrows hair, soon
like lies rebloom
in dreams
inside the mattress
dreams lie on the unseen
it's caught on something
dreams, like melodies
stuck, again
it's caught on something
it moves, underneath
the springs that hold me up,
my body weight,
slowed heartbeat,
there's a line I can't get to,
it's caught on a rare
moments insight
flushing, down
like babies from the nest
roaches grow tinier
than we dream
it's caught on something
I'm lost,
like a roach stares
looking for food,
spine, in my mind's eye
