It's Quite A Sum Thing Poem by Richard Jarboe

It's Quite A Sum Thing

Lincoln freed the slaves
He was a Republican
Democrats fought him bitterly
But in the end the slaves were set free.

Now we are trillions in the hole.
Blacks and Whites, slaves to the bank,
All of US pay the taxes and toll
And our children's children might have to pay with their soul.
