It's Too Late Poem by Michael Lee Buchanan

It's Too Late

It's too late, and i cannot wait
I thought i would be here forever
but i made my mistakes, in the past
and lost the time of my life
to wait for you.

And i knew, it was a bad idea
but i had no clue, that this pain
would end up leaving me blue,
cold, and alone, waiting by the phone,
for you to call and apologize but you never do.

And baby, i hate the words,
but i think we are through.
I cant pretend like its a shock,
we both knew the path
and we both walked it with fear.

And baby, i just cant keep you near,
Not now, now that i know what you did,
I can only think, of those words once so sweet,
not nothing more then a failing hearts last beat.
And now only blood and tears meet.

I’m so sick of the lies, and the deceit.
I wish this was a game, so i could click on you
and press Delete. And you would be gone.
So long, Goodbye, Thanks for wasting my time.
Don’t worry i will be fine.

I’m like a cat, with nine lives
You have stolen eight,
so i have one left, to make right,
what has been so wrong.
And now, Surprise, I am gone.
