Its God Alone Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Its God Alone

Rating: 5.0

Some preach The Christ of virgin birth
Some speak of man’s lost crown
Some teach why Jesus walked the earth
Whilst others write it down

Some learn of God some know He’s real
Some know He’s set them free
Some touch the sick and see them heal
And watch when blind eyes see

From mountains high through valleys deep
Across the mighty sea
God calls to children fast asleep
From Satan’s ways to flee

God calls to wander far and wide
God calls to you and I
Though some of us would rather hide
Though some of us are shy

We’re called to teach along life’s road
To preach just down the street
We’re called to bear a brothers load
Or stranger’s whom we meet

We’re called to serve The Father’s plan
We’re called to serve His Son
We’re called to show its not a man
That all these things has done

Its not a church that one should boast
Nor those at Jesus’ feet
Its power of God His Holy Ghost
That makes these things complete

Its God who helps us when we fail
Who melts our heart of stone
Who heals, saves, removes the veil
It’s God and God alone
