Its Not Safe Outside Poem by Kalee Skriver

Its Not Safe Outside

She wastes her life under the covers of her bed.
She longs for release, but chooses to wither away instead.
You see, she is afraid of the horrors that reside within this place.
She keeps herself secluded, just in case.
She has been confined for quite some time,
Yet she will be pleasantly surprised if she merely give this world a try.
But sadly, she will not move for either you or me.
This is what she knows, this is where she believes she is free.

Freedom = no such thing. we all have our cages that hold us back, this world beats us up so we hide and lock pieces away, in the end its just one giant puzzle that needs to be put together
