Its Time Poem by David Knox

its time now....
no more questions dont ask how
we got here whats important is we are
more importantly i am... no i dont have a star
not anymore nothing to shine
for me or for you no more
this may be the last rhyme
alas not so
time to go
the time is now
it is not important how
simply that we must go
show
them let them know!
let everyone see
just what has happened to me
it is not important how, simply that it did and something must be done
this battle is far from won
who is the enemy
why of course its me
i will not lose the fight
aganist myself nor will i run like gazelle with speed running away with fright
i will not lose to me
i will not be
the poetry i write
i will fight
its time to fight no time to run
i will one day hopefully be alive to say i have won
lest i hang on a rope
or i am dead and numb without any hope
