Jack Of The Jungle Poem by That Boy

Jack Of The Jungle

There was a young fellow called jack,
We don’t really know his real name.
When he was young he joined a pack,
And that’s how he came to fame.

We have this fictional fellow,
Yes, he’s one of a kind.
This wonderful fictional fellow,
Could influence your mind.

“Jack the boy”, “Jack the lad”,
Whatever you want to say,
Jack grew up in the jungle,
And remains there to this day.

Jack’s a lad of the jungle,
Like Tarzan or Mowgli.
Jack, he’s in the jungle,
Now I’ll tell you what he means to me.

I went to see him there you know,
I went for some fresh air.
I did not see Jack at first,
I just saw his long brown hair.

He turned around and looked at me,
He was looking for a reason.
Then he came and sniffed at me,
And looked at me like I’d committed treason.

“If looks could kill”, I know they will,
“If looks could kill”, they would.
Jack was stalking for the kill,
With his smothered face of mood.
Jack got up and plunged at me,
I came out with stains of blood.
Jack got up and plunged at me,
I got out while I could.

“Jack the lad”, “Jack the boy”,
He through me around like a battered old toy.
He threw me here, he threw me there,
You could here me yelling in the jungle air.

After he realised, he tossed me aside,
After he realised that I was one of his kind.
Human beings, that’s what we were,
Jack scampered off, without a care.

I don’t know how Jack got out,
And how he crawled into a cave
To just find wolves lounging about,
And why their love to Jack they gave.
Because he was a human, through in and through out.
But you couldn't tell by the way he tossed me about.
