Jackie Tarr Poem by R K Summers

Jackie Tarr

O, Jackie Tarr, a bonnie bright lad
Ne'er heard I a tale so sad
Of Jackie Tarr and his fiddle so fine
And a lady fair from 'neath the brine

O Jackie Tarr, a laddie so true
Played his fiddle, his fingers flew
And caught the eye of a lady bright
Who spoke of dangers in the night

O Jackie Tarr, where hast thou gone?
Walked too far into Avalon!
He left his home with a lady grace,
And left a changeling in his place
