Why are you, dear Jackrudin,
why are you
walking backward?
This past hour you’ve been at it
and so tell me, darling Jackrudin,
why you walk backward.
O sweet Suelina,
is it not obvious, is it not
blatantly obvious why?
I want to go back
in time to the hours before
and to the days and years past.
and so I walk backward.
