Jail Cell Poem by Terrin Fuller

Jail Cell

sitting in class
living life like a broken piece of glass
never knowing when that glass is going to be a straight piece
a piece where everything goes right
and not living in a tight little jail cell
or just living court date to court date
never knowing when they give me that sentance
the sentance for all my charges
or just my felony's
i live my life in a regret
regret of the things i've done
the people i've hurt
and the family is torn apart
they try to help
i make things worse
just to get one more high
or to just to have one more joy ride
