Jefferson School Playground Poem by Kevin Seales

Jefferson School Playground

Where in our school
Can we have a lot of fun
And not have a care in the world

And play by the rules
Get plenty of sun
A place for every boy and girl

Here on the playground
There are lots of things to do
Like going down a long blue slide

And on your way down
Remembering just who
Are the people who built these rides

Gliding on the swing
Or climbing up the wall
Just one of the things we can do

The joy that it brings
And smile to one and all
To Herky kids like me and you

So thank you to everyone
Who put in the time
To build the best place around

It's a place in the sun
A place I call mine
Our Jefferson School Playground
