You bought love to those who knew you,
You gave life to empty souls,
You had faith in all our broken dreams,
You painted troubles sweeter than they seemed

You held hands through stormy weather
You steadfast through deepest snow
You caught us when we’d fall to our knees
We never thought we’d have to let you go

You may have taken a walk too far
Or maybe just a holiday
It seems as though your spirit has been set free
But you’re never too far from me
