Jerk Steroids Poem by Trade Martin

Jerk Steroids

Many people take them……,
This imaginary pill…….,
And they don’t even realize it…..,
Their mind becomes very powerful…..,
But it’s just a façade……,
They start believing……,
That they’re so much smarter……,
Than anyone else……,
And it soon dissolves……,
(like a video ‘cross-fade’) …….,
Into that ‘know it all’ syndrome……,
That we’re all so used to……,
But quickly, like a formerly…..,
Pumped-up weightlifter…..,
Their ‘brain muscles’ get frail…..,
And they retreat into depression…..,
Because they’re merely a masquerade……,
Yes, a sorrowful puppet who can’t locate……,
His or her ventriloquist……..,
So sad, so sad……! ! !
