Jesters. Modernists. Nightingales. Poem by Daniel Thomason

Jesters. Modernists. Nightingales.

Young love in a sandbox,
On a swing,
Down a slide,
Hand-in-hand,
To smile at a park-
To love with their hearts.

INTERLUDE

Young love at a table,
A vanilla swirl cone,
By a humming jukebox,
Hand-in-hand,
To smile at a parlor-
With a beautiful heartburn.

INTERLUDE

Young love in a steeple,
Pews and the people,
Near falling rice and flying doves,
Hand-in-hand,
To smile at those words-
I do - I'm yours.
