Jesus Poem by Lilyann Monahan

Jesus

Rating: 4.0

Jesus:
Owner of my heart, so true
come back to me, my soul needs you.
He's taken with him, my love for others,
I yearn to be free from another.
Don't let them pain me with their love,
Defend my trust from up above.
There is no other who is this nice,
polite and humble, not cold as ice.
Make me see there's no perfection,
not exist in agony with rejection.
It would break my very soul,
To not be with you as my whole.

Defend my sweetness with a voice,
like others live, you have a choice.
Speak your human mind, like others,
Don't be taken hostage by another.

Definitely understand your pain. I like: Speak your human mind, like others, Don't be taken hostage by another. Been in that situation myself - it's painful to say the least. Won't ever let another consume me again.
