Jesus is Amerikkka

'Let US make them in our image & character'
The Almighty's chosen people of the great nation named Amerikkka
From that piercing spear flowed water & blood into the open air
This sacred Seal, our flag reveals, as we clasp our hearts & stare
He came to conquer & take all back, snatch away the very key
Manifest Destiny died & rose, thus Amerikkklans wield their atomic weaponry
His crown dug deep, down to the skull it was driven
To bare democracy, was the curse Amerikkklans were given
He healed the sick & fed the poor
So, Amerikkklans discovered power in war
He taught his hosts were noble but defiled & had pity on their plights
Thus The Constitution's heart was to strip slaves bare before all whites
He was washed by hands that had touched many other men & anointed with the spoils
So, The Amerikkklan child is cooked in cancer, stewed in the very same oils
He promised to return in hellfire & glory, & kill by His very name
Devotedly Amerikkklans work, consumed by their yearning pain
And when their done & all wars are ONE, they'll look up into the sky
Press the button & declare their victory, but never see Jesus cry

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
