Has written hundreds of poems about every waking
And dreaming moment of my gay life from first
Awareness to yesterday’s find of this little book
Prompting this morning’s writing, because I had
To watch those ‘Housewives’ and ‘Pan AM’ last night:
A trip down ‘Wisteria’ and ‘Memory’ Lane.

At 74, before sending a query letter to this publisher,
I’ve got to get a lot of ‘fans’, but hey, I’ve never
Done anything FANtastic: Fun, annoying, loving:
Endearing, of honorable/seductive/misguided intent,
But nothing that would get me beyond the old
‘Self-publishing’ fate of the ‘unknown’ poet.
