Jimmy Poem by Warren Chan

Jimmy

Jimmy was a queer little child
The queerest you'd have ever seen;
Deep below those baby blue eyes
Was a power unforeseen.

But the power strange as it may be
Estranged and put him under a tree
But one fateful day; he wanted to be free
So he decided to flee from his misery

He struggled and wiggled
He twisted and turned
Through his moaning and shouting
Nearby villagers became concerned

And through that concern came a reply
Of an aging farmer from France named Guy
And so he ran to where the boy was in place
And brought with him a pigeon; singing in grace

Guy was he name, but guy he was not
(No, I don't mean replace 'u' with 'a', you silly pot)
What I mean to say actually is…
Guy was no man, he was a WITCH
...wizard

Indeed, a really fine wizard
That is if you think a chicken liver is a gizzard.
So he came with his pigeon (and lace)
Sauntering about while fanning his face (in grace)

Although with a good heart
Guy made a terrible mistake
He let out a big fart
That blew down the tree (which was fake)

Well, you see
The reason behind this fake tree
Was because in 1969
It was on sale at WitchesOnline

But let's get back to the story
We shall not stray far
By the way did I tell you?
I make lovely agar-agar

So this big fart gave the boy a start
And made him hiccup hard
And this hiccup brought all of them surprise
For then he started coughing out fries!

fries, fries, FRIES GALORE!
So much you could make a giant door
However from this, the town went crazed
For these were the times before ketchup was made.

And as the townsfolk went munching along
Guy realized his pigeon had sung the wrong song
And so he wrecked his head for the right one
While debating whether he should join in the fun

When everyone around was acting like ninnies
They seemed to have forgotten poor little Jimmy
Jimmy was tired, Jimmy was fed up
He made the rash decision that Guy set him up

Jimmy frowned and thought real hard
He then saw a puddle beside him of lard
So he picked up the soil and threw it well
Aimed at Guy; and broke the spell!

With the spell suddenly broken,
Jimmy’s true form began to show,
He wasn't a boy; his secret let loose
He actually was a golden goose

With a swift and graceful swoop
Jimmy quickly flew the coop
Leaving behind the town below
With Faberges that came like snow

That was the last I saw of Jimmy
But not the last I heard
It seems that Jimmy with money and all
Has found another bird

The lucky duck or should I say lucky pigeon
Is none other than Guy’s singing companion
Jimmy and Pigeon now live in a beach mansion
Where Guy is now their eternal man-servant.

I liked the part about the 'fries Galore' and the people went crazy because it was before ketchup was made...made me laugh
