Jiro Poem by Toshie Nohara

Jiro

Jiro
A serious
Fellow
Always worries about
Tomorrow
A fussy
Fellow
Seldoms sleeps on
Hotel pillow
An innocent
Fellow
Never hopes to
Die on the
Gallows!
A proud
Fellow
Money he would never
Borrow
A careful
Fellow
Won't hide on
Tree that is
Hollow
A lonely
Fellow
Listens to
Music that is
Mellow
A healthy
Fellow
Won't talk at
Mealtime lest
Air he will
Swallow!
A kind
Fellow
Won't hurt even
a little
Sparrow
A clean
Fellow
On mud he wouuld never
Wallow
A strange
Fellow
Likes clothes that are
Yellow
A crazy
Fellow
Blindly dives into
Pool which is
Almost shallow!
A thrifty
Fellow
Won't buy a birthday
Present for his
Friend Polo
A patriotic
Fellow
With bow and
Arrow
Walk up the
Street that is
Straight and
Narrow
And dreaming about
Being a
Hiro
Jiro is
A funny
Fellow.
