Jobs Today

Jobs are going
What do we do
To bring them back?
A question asked
Every where
What do we do
To bring them back?

In Asia and Africa
In Europe and Australia
All over the Americas
Across the continents...

In New York and London
In Paris and Beijing
In Delhi and Moscow
In Seoul and Rio
In Sidney and Cairo
In cities and towns…

Question asked
Every where
Jobs are going
What do we do
To bring them back?

No man today
Is an island see
Economy today
Is a global spree
Connected by air
Land and sea
World has shrunk
To a handheld ball
Like what we see
In a satellite view
Instant reach
Through wireless call.

My country
Wake up and search
Find your niche
And produce
Produce all
That fits your skill
And keep a balance
Of worldwide trade
Of what you get
And what you send
Jobs today
Are not the same
Learn new trades
Keep up to date.

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
