Johnny Walker Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Johnny Walker

Johnny Walker went to bed shaken,
That night he didn't know where he was,
Free-floating asteroid,
Turning in space,
Thoughts quickening their sluggish pace.

And yet he jumped out of bed,
In the morning in sun rays he stood,
Arms rigged and he stone-eyed,
Turning in space.
Thoughts slackening their frightful pace.

So then hd saw the forgotten face,
Today he knows not what he's into,
Ice-cubed onto the grass floor,
Tuning in space,
Thoughts stilled with lack of pace.
