Joslyn Castle Poem by Marilyn Lott

Joslyn Castle

Rating: 5.0

We visited the most beautiful castle
Where you enter through a wrought iron fence
A fence that weighs 1800 pounds
The builder didn’t spare a single expense

Stained glass windows of such beauty
That nearly takes your breath away
We enjoyed every single part of it
Our visit created a special day

The woodwork was a thing of beauty too
Shiny gold was used very liberally
It was obvious that it was created
To add every possible luxury

And the barn was another castle as well
It was built for four-legged royalty
Just as fancy and as beautiful
And was such a pleasure for us to see

We met the caretaker who was also unique
We sure did enjoy our visit with him
His personality was so entertaining
Yes, this man was truly a gem

As you can see we spent the day
A day without a single hassle
When we took the time to visit
The charming Joslyn castle!

Sounds like you had a grand day, Marilyn. And you've described this well - I can picture the woodwork, so intricately carved, and those marvellous stained glass windows. Is this a real castle? Love, Fran xx
