I am
like the other confessional poets
Robert Lowell, John Berryman, Delmore Schwartz, Sylvia Plath
or Anne Sexton.

These writers were passionate
about their poetry
talented with its writing
and were well respected
by their peers and fans.

But they all had
deep-down secrets
ghosts and demons
which were muses
that propelled their work.

My ghosts and demons
have forced me
on a journey
to discover
new words
to express
my deepest, darkest emotions.
