Journey To Fall Poem by Briana Johnson

Journey To Fall

Hours in the bathroom
Brushing tangled hair
Painting unkempt nails
I am almost there

Done at last
But wait,
there's a tear
I've got some time
I am almost there

Okay out the door
I walk,
people stare
I blush at the attention
I am almost there

Yell for a taxi
Sit and pay the fare
Stroll inside the building
I am almost there

Round the placid walls
Climb the wicked stair
Finally floor five
I am almost there

I made it here early and
Hear what I to dare
Another woman,
my heart falls
I am almost there
