Jove Of Love I Poem by Chibueze Oscar Osuji

Jove Of Love I

With shortage time, beseech the spinning clock
Why mankind in terms about love are surprise
To know whom our hearts fell for? 'Tis a shock
In finding whom the fellow is oth'rwise.

A fellow we thought very stooping of
In whom we sought solace when distress'd,
Only to chaste them, when joy's nigh in grove;
Little we care, 'bout their feelings suppress'd.

Hence the storm of life toss and rock our fate
Alas! We see love in whom we chaste
Then we pray for such love to wax of late
In the b'holder's eyes seeking love in haste.

Such love is found true and remain in-stead,
Much jove of surprise; daggling rose a-head.
