Joys dissolve
Like sugar added to tea
Lending life, a new flavour.
Sorrows sink to the bottom
To be brought to the surface
With every slight stir,
Like the dreg that settles
At the bottom of a tea cup
Making it unsavoury to sip
But joys and sorrows together make life.
A thought evoking write. What an interesting parallel.Brief, but point well taken
A beautiful piece of poetry bristling with insight. A lovely depiction of journey through life which is a voyage of bliss and sorrows. Thanks for sharing Prof. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
A splendid idea with an interesting simile.Joys and Sorrows are to be taken equally in life.Nice poem.
Sugar sinks to bottom. But joy is like sugar added into water. It dissolves with life and add values of satisfaction. Life on surface of Earth is valuable. This poem is interesting one! .. An amazing sharing is done really! ..5 stars..
I must thank poet Chinedu Dike who made me open your page and visit this beautiful poem again. Some accidents are good.
