June's Promises Poem by G J Salgado

June's Promises

Summer buds bloom
Whenever I think of you
Knowing that you're the one
By our moments in the sun
Sunday morning when we wake upon
Looking in each other's eyes beside the pond
Covered with buttercups and butterflies
I see that same look that you had in your eyes
When I saw you last night under the stars
I know you feel the same way too this time is ours
Warm kisses in the dew of the dawn's day break
Then we spend the day together until we wake
As we wake the next day we do it all over again
These are the promises between us kept until the very end
