Jungle Politics Poem by Rachel Flint

Jungle Politics

Should you be strong and assertive, or soft and supportive? Should you make a stand and say your piece, or sit down and listen carefully? It is hard to know the best tack to take. Just dont think too much about it. Trust your instincts.

(Cancer horoscope Weekend magazine, Daily mail,29.12.2007)

Deplomacy is a hard buisness
sit back and people
walk all over you
Say your piece
you could get
a few pieces back

One mistake
can be fatal
it's a jungle out there
so this is my advice
like in every jungle
trust your insticts

You state the problem well. I don't know about the solution. I think we might have to rise above our instincts. No matter how far back you go in history, there were always those who knew what tricks to use to manipulate people and persuade enough people to go along with their pursuits. Even if the good guys win, it isn't for long. I wish I could be more positive.
