Just A Smile Poem by Aljon Dimalanta

Just A Smile

Rating: 2.5

There you are,
unbelievable, that smile-
your smile still lingers
on my head.

Just like how the movie scenes,
the saddest parts lingers on the heart
Just like how the scent
of early spring lingers on the air
How dare you step in,
walk through my life,
and run away?
Run away, with my heart on you.

Unbelievable, just unthinkable
You're like a dream
that I couldn't remember
or maybe a moment
I couldn't get over.

I took the liberty
of your charm, of being around it
and now we are like waves
circling in the great ocean-
stuck in the middle.

You said it was crazy,
but look at me, chasing down the night
Can't you see
what you did to me?
You're smile still lingers
every time my eyes,
tired of thinking, resign and close.
I hope
you're smiling because of me.
