Just A Tool Poem by Leigh French

Just A Tool

I thought you were different,
you said you weren't like that.
But they were all lies,
no surprise.
I knew the truth,
I didn't want to believe it.
And I did,
but it didn't matter.
I said nothing about it,
I went on like nothing ever happened.
I knew you were using me,
just like a tool.
But I still said I love you.
And now it's over,
and now its through.
No more using me,
just like a tool.
