Just A Wish Poem by Dorsey Baker

Just A Wish

Do you sometimes wish?
you were just an illusion
a figment of imagination
a stupid dream
to end upon awakening
do you sometimes wish?
you could blow
away like smoke
and be gone

Do you sometimes wish?
you were
just a whisper
being overheard

Do you sometimes wish?
flesh and blood
would turn
into a piece of plastic

Do you sometimes wish?
in the mirror
your reflection
would just be
a reflection of a
reflection
do you sometimes wish?
there was no reality!
and life
was just a dream!
