Just Another Dream Poem by Scout Kerr

Just Another Dream

Walking on an endless road
Lost myself along the way
Secrets such a heavy load
All these debts I have to pay

Friends left one by one
Stories got too bad
Not a place where I belong
Lost everything I had

Road breaks as I look back
No energy left to run
As I hear the bricks behind me crack
I take my last look at the sun

My feet slowly leave the ground
As I'm falling in a deep dark hole
So quiet, not a single sound
Must've lost my soul

Black is all my eyes can see
Ears adjust, I hear a scream
Found my voice, it was only me
Alarm clock rings, just another dream.
