Just Because I Can'T Poem by Connie Webb

Just Because I Can'T

Just because I can’t hear you any longer,
Doesn’t mean I don’t hear you.
Just because I can’t see you any longer,
Doesn’t mean you aren’t still in my heart.
Just because I can’t joke with you any longer,
Doesn’t mean I don’t still laugh at your jokes.
Just because I can’t seem to connect with you any longer,
Doesn’t mean that you are not there.
Just because you don’t seem to connect with me,
Doesn’t mean you no longer love me.
Just because I can’t see you to tell you I love you,
Doesn’t mean I won’t still tell you so.
