Just Demand Poem by Sony Dalia

Just Demand

Records are there to be broken,
said the little master majestically,
Rules are there to be followed,
said the cop at traffic signals,
Beauty is there to be adored,
said the master painter wistfully,
Liberty is there to be explored,
said the child with a broad smile!

Why does the Sun rise in east?
Why does he choose to travel to west?
Why does the peacock dance when sawan ghata glide along?
Natural law enshrined everywhere!

Greed to exploit, crazy urge to conquer,
unbridled passion to dominate
decimate decency, demolish dignity.
Vulgar vandals, senseless scoundrels,
boorish brutes, dastardly blighters,
ravage Nature's beauty, brutalise benevolence,
stomp on innocence ravenous dogs on Delhi roads…
Violation demands castration categorically!
