Just Look To Jesus Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Just Look To Jesus

A fool at God will scowl and frown
Cast doubt on Calvary Tree
They’ll drag the name of Jesus down
So others fail to see

They walk as blind the devil’s path
Seeking for selfish gain
Unaware of pending wrath
Of hell and endless pain

They need to know! The living Christ
Be made aware of shame
Accept The Lamb God sacrificed
And Heaven’s Holy Flame

The Holy Ghost The Promised One
The Counsellor of Light
The Spirit of The Father’s Son
Who’ll give eternal sight

With God they need to reconcile
See Christ as Lord and King
Walk now in love the extra mile
Life’s victory song to sing

Through Christ alone we learn to live
Through Christ we see The Light
Receiving what He longs to give
We’ll win our every fight

To heed no more the devil’s lies
Our spirit must be free
Ask God to open wide our eyes
The Truth through Christ to see

No longer trust in flesh and bone
Not silver gold nor jewel
But look to Christ to Christ alone
And play no more the fool
