Just Once Poem by Candace Johnson

Just Once

I didn't do what I was told
Just once I didn't follow the rules
I did what I pleased
Just once
It wasn't really that bad
It was just one rule
One dumb rule
But now you don't want me anymore
You won't talk to me
I try to make amends
But you still hold a grudge
You make my life miserable
All because I broke one dumb rule
One that everyone breaks sometime or another
So tell me why won't you talk to me
