Just Wanted To Call You One More Time... Poem by Geramie White

Just Wanted To Call You One More Time...

Before I go,
I want to hear your voice,
Never knowing how important this is,
I talk to you how I usally do,
I joke,
You laugh,
We have a good time,
Not wanting to hang up, the time goes by,
I try not to be sad,
I try not to cry,
But hearing your voice makes me weak,
You began to wonder if something's wrong,
But I pull myself together in instant denial,
Four minutes left,
You hear my voice sigh,
Three minutes left,
You ask again what's wrong,
Two minutes left,
I still say nothing,
One minute left,
You still don't know what goin on,
Three...
Two...
One...
Before I hung up,
I thank you for being there for me...
