I'm no superman, but you can be my kryptonite,
I'm no spiderman, but you're my Mary Jane
I'm not an insomniac, but i'll see you at midnight
I'm not engaged, but you can take my name.

I'm no hero, but you can be my spear
I'm not afraid, but you're my biggest fear
I'm not a thief, I don't want to steal your heart
I'm not clingy, but I can't stand us apart.

I'm not a poet, I can't win you with song
I'm not a politician, I can't promise to fix what's wrong
I'm not a lover, but I can love you, for sure
I don't run marathons, but I think we'll endure.

I'm not decisive, I can't make up my mind
I'm not a player, I can't take two at a time
I'm not your quarterback, your best point guard
I don't find things easy, in fact, it's really hard.

I'm not sorry for what I can't do
I'm not yelling for me, but for you
The truth is, my dear, i'm too damn mean
I'm not Santa, i'm Halloween.

I don't follow, I always lead
But I have no car, no trusty steed
I told you I'd love you for all of time
A promise I'll keep, I will make you mine.

If I fail, and I probably will
I hope you understand
I can run, I can stand still
I'll always hold your hand.

No matter what, you crazy girl
We'll skip, hop, dance, twirl
I'll be here for you, thick and thin
Even if we don't happen again.
