Kay's Friendship Poem by Charise M. Thompson

Kay's Friendship

Rating: 5.0

Kay was always the first with a smile
When a friend walked into her view;
The best example of a "people person"
That most of us ever knew.

Her personality had a special spark
That could brighten any room;
And she had that way about her
That always chased away the gloom!

Kay seemed to have the proper words
When one experienced pain or doubt;
And she'd talk until she found a way
To turn the turmoil inside out!

She was there with a shoulder or hug
And tender words of encouragement;
I only hope we told her often enough
How very much her friendship meant.

Kay's passing has left an empty space
Nothing and no one will ever fill;
It's a place in each of our hearts
That belongs to her, and always will.
