Keep Your Opened Mind Poem by Pierre Rausch

Keep Your Opened Mind

Rating: 5.0

If I could see what you see
Always deeper, as if I hadn't asked
Slowly to a clipboard, trailing behind
To collect appetizers from the waitress
Slipped the blindfold over my head
Tore free and skittered to the desk
So exhausted and so tuned up
Pressing my mouth very carefully

Keep your opened mind
Emphazising, lay loosely
It didn't look like a runner-up
Unfolded your napkin and put it onto your lap
Joyriders discussing last night
An American airbase, a place once famed

But as our relationship tanked
We can attach anything to the board
I love clotted dreams and scones
And we should have been dancing

Keep your opened mind
Emphazising, lay loosely
It didn't look like a runner-up
Unfolded your napkin and put it onto your lap
Joyriders discussing last night
An American airbase, a place once famed

Keep your opened mind
Emphazising, lay loosely
It didn't look like a runner-up
Unfolded your napkin and put it onto your lap
Joyriders discussing last night
An American airbase, a place once famed
