Kenya Crested Guineafowl - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Kenya Crested Guineafowl - Lincoln Park Zoo

A Kenya Crested Guineafowl,
A lot of birdwatching I do.
From Africa I come to prowl
The wonders of Lincoln Park Zoo.
Seeds and insects are a delight
To feed my colorful beaked face.
Darkish plumage with spots of white,
But all a blur when I give chase.
The mopped curly feathered crest,
I say off the top of my head,
Is the fine feature I like best.
Nobody has such locks of dread.

Start a bird band. I've heard the talk.
I must admit that I do rock.
