Key To Enlightenment Poem by khalil Majlaton

Key To Enlightenment

This key unlocks
an old dusty box
a walk down memory lane

As letters are read
the same things were said
time and... time again

Not only from you
from other ones too
It seems I AM quite insane

Never a confider,
always an outsider,
constantly against the grain.

Though very well spoken
I'm impossible to open
deep thoughts I seem to retain

It takes a short while
for you to see me smile
my laughter is hard to contain

but it's all a facade
an endless charade
to mask the feelings of pain.
